Jackson

Fern and Scott contacted me to do 6 month old shots of their little cutie Jackson.
They came to my home studio and we knocked out some beauties.  I get so much joy out of shooting pictures, that coming up with ideas and making them come through is so much fun!
Thank you for the opportunity to let my creativity shine with your son.

Second Shooting for Storybook Studios

This summer I got the chance to second shoot for a very talented photographer in the Niagara Region, Larissa Marks of Storybook Studios.
The first wedding was for Jackie and Jeff.  They had a beautiful Hawaiian beach themed wedding and there was so much thought put into it.  Every table had a different beachy 6" cake on it, instead of a large wedding cake and a beautiful luau type buffet for dinner complete with a spit roasted pig.
The wedding took place in Niagara-on-the-Lake and the reception was at Legends on the Niagara in Chippewa.

The second wedding was for Britt and Mike.  They had a fun fireman/Halloween themed wedding.  The weather was not that cooperative, so the ceremony took place in a fire hall in Port Colbourne, Ontario.
We took pictures at the fire hall and also went to a local pub where they shot pool and drank some spirits to relax from the stressful times leading up the wedding ceremony.  Silly weather making things uncertain.
It turns out that I play baseball against Britt in my slo-pitch league.  Man, it's a small world.

The wedding party did brave the chilly weather so we could get some fun outdoor shots.

I just want to thank Larissa for giving the the chance to join you on these days.  I had a blast and hopefully we can do it again.  All the best to the Brides and Grooms and may all your dreams come true.

P.S.  Britt, stop catching my fly balls the left field!!!!  ;)

Giacomo & Aria

While I was working I met this wonderful lady named Angie.  She was talking to me about cameras and courses and wanted to know where to start.
Through conversation, she discovered I was a photographer and took my card.  A couple of days later I got asked to photograph her beautiful grandchildren for Christmas.  I went to their house so they didn't have to tote a 3 month old and kept the 2 year old comfortable in his own house.
The end result was amazing.  The playfulness and joy coming from Giacomo that day was fun!  Yeah kids have their moments, but man when I got a good pic, I got a good pic.  Sorry to toot my own horn here.

His sister, Aria, was so easy going and only had one fit, even through the multiple times getting her dressed and undressed.  Aria's curiosity for the camera made her expressions great to capture.

When it came time to photograph the two together, that was a different story.  I don't think they like sharing the same chair or couch... ha ha ha.  I did manage to have them calm for a couple of shots, but you have to admit Giacomo looks good in that chair.

Thank you very much for inviting me into your beautiful home to capture your children Anita and also for the wonderful hospitality you displayed.
Angie, it was great to meet you and hopefully one day we'll meet again!

Jo & Alastair's Stunning Day of Love!!!

Capturing this wedding was so much fun!!  We started the day at Alastair's parents house to get the guys getting ready and having a blast.

Then it was off to Jo's parents house and got to photograph Jo getting ready in a beautifully lit house.  Jo's two sisters were there along with her niece and mom to help her get ready.  Her Dad patiently waited and did what was asked of him to help with the day's festivities.

The backyard had some beautiful landscape to it that made getting the detail shots easy.  The creativity flowed real easy this day.

The special moments were filled with love.

The boys were so cooperative from Alastair getting ready, to getting their photos taken at Ball's Falls.  They were so happy for the couple to join in marriage that they made the process so fun and entertaining.

Watching Jo and Alastair interact and show their happiness and love while getting their shots taken was beautiful.

The love this family has for each other is inspiring.
The love Jo and Alastair have for their new baby boy is heart warming.

I wish you all the best in the new life you have dedicated to making for yourselves.
May all your dreams and wishes come through!!

DSBN Auction Winner

Every now and then I will do my duty and donate a photoshoot to a good cause.  In the fall of 2010 I donated a shoot to the DSBN to put into their silent auction.  Lisa won the shoot.
In the summer of 2011, we spent a beautiful 2 hours at Decew Falls/Morning Star Mill with her family and grandson.
They were such a fun bunch and willing to try a bunch of ideas.
Here are a few from that day...

Thank you for the wonderful memories and all the best to the newest grand baby!!

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving weekend is always about giving thanks for your family and the life we are given.  I want to thank the Bouchard family for letting me be a part of your family Thanksgiving day.
The weather was beautiful, the leaves were rustling, the colours were bright and the sweet smell of turkey wafting from the house just added a cherry on the top of the family shoot.
With family coming from all over the province it was a great time to capture the love this family has.
Here are a few that I captured...

Thank you for the fun and colourful afternoon!!
I hope you enjoyed the rest of the day and of course the turkey!!!

Families

It is so much fun to shoot families.  Just to see the interaction between members is amazing.  This family was so much fun to photograph.  They joked and poked fun and had a blast and all I had to do was shoot.
Here are a few from that day...

Thank you to the Anderson family for a beautiful day filled with fun and laughs.

Hopefully I will get to photograph your family again!!
