Joanne and Eric Nuptials

Joanne & Eric

Joanne and Eric contacted me to capture their wedding.
It was small and intimate and you could feel that they were so happy to have found each other.
The wedding took place at Rodman Hall.  It is the arts centre for Brock University.  The building was built in 1863 and is very well maintained; the grounds are meticulously maintained and have beautiful flowers and foliage.

Joanne and Eric wanted their wedding shot in black and white to have that timeless look.
I gave them the photos in black and white, but being the lover of colour, I put a couple in here to show the beautiful flowers and that red door.  I love that red door.

Congratulations Joanne and Eric!!
I wish nothing but love and happiness for you both!!

New year, New me

Happy New Year to you all!!  I hope all of you had a fun and relaxing Holiday season.

As 2014 rolls in, I have found that I need to graduate into a more professional photography business.
I am getting away from the shoot and burn business that I have built my business on and into the consultations and ordering appointments.

I am looking forward to this big change with my business.  I am ready for this stepping stone.  I do understand that I will lose some clients and I am very sorry if I do.  My intention is to be able to provide affordable photography for everyone.    I hope that you appreciate the craft as much as I do and still call upon me for your family, children and wedding photos.

I appreciate all the families and couples that I have gotten to know and I look forward to meeting all of the new families, children and newly engaged.

Thank you all very much!!!   I am very excited for this!!

Alexis & Kevin

A Birthday Party Surprise!

10-10-10

Alexis and Kevin contacted me with an unusual, yet really fun idea.
They were planning a 'surprise' birthday party for Kevin but in all reality it was a grand surprise for the party guests.  They showed up in a bridal dress and tuxedo and in turn surprised the guests by getting married.
Alexis asked me to do the photo guest book portion.
I have to say that the group was a fun bunch and had a blast during their turn.

Here are some of the photos from the guest photo book..

Kevin and Alexis,
I hope the past two years have been just as fun as your wedding was.
Thank you for letting me be a part of your surprise, special day.

Socheata and Andrew

When my good friend, of 17 years, asked me to photograph his wedding, I jumped at the chance.  I felt so honoured.  Andrew, or as I call him Goober, and Socheata were married in a beautiful outdoor wedding at the Civic Garden Complex in London, Ontario.
The rain decided to make an appearance, but it did not interfere with the days festivities.  The ceremony went off without a hitch and the indoor family shoot lasted just as long as the rain did.

We had a lot of fun shooting the wedding party shots and quite a few places to shoot them.
Socheata had her 3 sisters as her bridesmaids and they had a great, supportive bond.  Such beautiful ladies and beautiful families to boot.

I had a great time shooting this wedding and creating beautiful memories for the two of you.
I wish you all the best in the future and enjoy your lives together as husband and wife.
Congratulations!!

Amanda & John

Amanda and John were married June 30th, 2012 at the Hilton in Niagara on the Lake.
When I met this couple, I was super stoked to shoot their wedding.  I knew that this wasn't going to be your average wedding; so much thought and love went into the planning.
The guests were entertained by instrumental music while waiting.. I noticed it was Weezer and other bands you wouldn't think would be instrumental.
The music theme was kept throughout.  Guests received favours of bags of rock candy with tags reading "You Rock, thanks for sharing our day!"
All the little subtleties made the day.  The guests put their cards into a guitar case and the bouquet had musical note ribbon on it.
I was so happy when Amanda mentioned that music brought them together and agreed to have guitars in their photos.  Here are some from that day....

Thank you so much for letting me be a part of your wonderful day.
I hope you enjoy the photos as much as I do!!
